New Achievements!

Stardoll wants more people to download their app and log into stardoll through facebook page. These new achievements will only be unlocked once you do download the app or/and log into stardoll through facebook. I don't really get the whole point of achievements. You don't even get a trophy for unlocking an achievement. What are your guys' views on these new achievements?
