    I did it on Gimp it's free and quick to download but you could use other programs :)

    I think you started out good but the shading is a little off. You don't need to do so much smudging. Then it turns out blurry.
    But it's a nice tutorial and I like how you provide color swatches :)

    Yes, it just looks blurry and unrealitstic. I think I like Step 4, you should have stopped there, LOL
